Agile Values

The Agile manifesto emphasizes the following values:

  1. Individuals and interactions over processes and tools:

The focus should be on developing individuals and encouraging effective interactions, rather than solely relying on processes and tools. People are the ones who resolve problems and come up with solutions, and therefore investing in them early on is crucial for project success.

  1. Working product over comprehensive documentation:

While documentation is important, it should not overshadow the value of a working product. The focus should be on creating a product that can be understood without too much documentation.

  1. Customer collaboration over contract negotiation:

Collaborating with the customer is more important than strictly adhering to the contract. Being flexible and accommodating can lead to better products and more satisfied customers.

  1. Responding to change over following a plan:

Plans should be considered as starting points, and more emphasis should be put on responding to changes in the project. Planning is still necessary, but there should be an assumption that plans will change, and one must respond positively to these changes.
